This Journey 1884 features a 43 mm stainless steel case with a deep black dial that has a smooth center and textured outer section. It has yellow gold-tone and luminescent skeleton hands, applied Arabic numerals, indices and Victorinox emblem at 12 o'clock. Also in yellow gold-tone is the uni-directional rotating coin edge bezel with a 60-minute scale on a black aluminum top ring and the protected screw down crown. This is complemented by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, 24-hour markers, and a date window at the 6 o'clock position. Additional interesting design details include a sloped cut off bezel section engraved with 1884, a reference for Victorinox's founding year, engraved material code on the case's bottom left side and seconds hand counterweight resembling the silhouette of a Swiss Army knife. Fitted with a black genuine rubber strap and secured with a stainless steel signed buckle. This watch has a screw down caseback engraved with an image of a Swiss pocket knife which encases the Ronda caliber 715, a Swiss quartz movement with ISO certified anti-magnetic protection, shock and water-resistance up to 200 meters/660 feet.
